Maxim® 'X-Treme' Concentrated Floor Wax Stripping Solution (6 Quarts)
- 6 quarts per case
- Makes 30 gallons of stripping solution
We recommend pre-testing Maxim 'X-Treme' on a small area before widespread use. Dilute at 1 part stripper to 20 parts water. Using hot water will help the stripper to work faster and more effectively. Mop onto floor and allow to set 3 or 4 minutes. Do not allow stripper to dry on floor. Keep floor wet. Mop area or scrub with a floor buffer again to agitate and loosen finish. Use a stripping pad to further agitate. Picking up loosened finish is most effective with a wet vacuum but may also be mopped off the floor.
During the clean up process, we recommend you make sure the surface is thoroughly rinsed with clean water. Rinse, then scrub with a neutral cleaner to remove remaining residue after rinsing. Apply floor finish in normal manner.
On old linoleum, rubber and asphalt floors do not use an over concentration of solution or bleaching or discoloring may occur. Test a small area using a solution no stronger than 1 part of stripper to 10 parts of water. Adjust concentration to strip effectively without harming floor substrate.
