Viper Venom 17" Floor Buffer & Polisher w/ Pad Holder

Been doing floors for over 20 years. Got this viper to replace a very old 20 inch and it works perfectly. Someone said works as good as the name brand, This Is The Name Brand. This is the brand most janitor supply stores sell. Another said hard to control, not true. It works exactly how all these style buffers work. If you've never used one yes they take some practice, all of them do. So take it from someone who's used these things for over 20 years this one works great and is a good size for small and big jobs.

The machine is going to move to the left when you turn it on, so just lift the handle to make it turn to the right. Practice, and you will see that it is actually easy to use.

I don't deny that this machine can be an effective cleaner, my problem with it is that it is too difficult to control. The description does not state this. It was only after I purchased this machine and spoke with the company about it, that they notified me that this machine is known for being difficult to control. One of the flaws is that in order to turn the machine on, you have press the red button and at the same time apply pressure to the hand lever. This does not allow for a firm grip when starting. When the machine is turned on, it's at full speed and power; and every time I turned it on, whether on a hard floor or carpet, it shot to the left (fast), and I was unable to control it. I just simply could not control this machine.

Works as advertised.

The wheels wear out quick and come off base, hard to roll.

Great buffer for the price!

This Viper is a great machine for the price. Works as well as a previous machine I had which was much more expensive.

Machine is well worth the money. Works Great!

Wonder if there is a sanding pad option?

"I bought this buffer to prep wood subfloors before installing wood flooring. The buffer works just as good as the ""name brand"" buffers. Time will tell if it will last as long.

One thing that would make it better is if it had a port to hook a vacuum to it."
