The Black Diamond green 3000 grit floor prep pads will bring out the highest gloss possible shine in your concrete or natural stone floors. Thanks to the embedded micro diamonds, you can clean and polish your concrete, stone, terrazzo, VCT, and linoleum floors without the use of harsh chemicals. This 3000 grit pad is the last step in the line of Black Diamond pads when restoring your floor. We recommend using the 3000 grit green pads to be used daily to maintain that high shine.
If your floors are in really bad shape, scratches and stains should be removed first using the red 400 grit and white 800 grit pads. These 2 prep pads will buff out the scratches and stains to produce a matte finish that will allow the polishing to take place that the yellow 1500 grit and these green 3000 grit pads will provide.
The special micro diamonds in the pads are made to clean and polish the floor without the need for extra chemicals. This not only makes these Black Diamond pads environmentally friendly but also saves you money in the long run. Even though these pads should only be used on the colored side, they still last 3 times longer than traditional pads. Only once the backing shows though should they be changed out.
Polishing can be done wet or dry. If you are using a low speed machine (175 - 350 RPM), then you use them with water, and if you are using them with a high speed burnisher (1500 - 3000 RPM), then you use them dry. The consistent use of these pads is an excellent way to keep your floors safe thanks to the pads providing a slip-resistant surface that resists dirt and wear. With no extra equipment needed, simply attach these pads like you would any other pad to start your cleaning.
